MSG Entertainment (MSGE), the live entertainment arm of Cablevision Systems Corporations, is a worldwide entertainment company recognized for its signature combination of event production and entertainment marketing. MSGE manages and operates all facets of the booking, marketing and production of all events at Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre, as well as the entertainment events at Madison Square Garden, The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Expo Center at MSG.
In addition to the nearly 700 entertainment concerts and events that take place each year at these venues, MSGE produces shows across America. MSG Entertainment's live events include The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, as well as six productions of The Christmas Spectacular outside of New York.
MSG Entertainment has produced more than a dozen original multi-run shows over the last decade, including the #1 family show in America, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes. A holiday tradition enjoyed by more than 2 million people each year, this beloved production has played to more than 56 million people in 27 cities across North America and will continue to expand to new cities each year. The Rockettes have entertained audiences for more than 80 years and their universal appeal and iconic status affords great opportunity for continued development and expansion.
MSG Entertainment presents many of today's top performing artists at the famed Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, the Theatre at Madison Square Garden, and the Beacon Theatre. In the past year alone, MSG served as host to numerous sold-out shows by leading acts such as U2, Madonna, Billy Joel, Elton John, Cream, Coldplay, Andrea Bocelli, and Bruce Springsteen. Radio City has hosted renowned artists including Tony Bennett, Phish, Alicia Keys, Usher, Bette Midler, Neil Young, Don Henley, Mary J. Blige, Enrique Iglesias, Beck and Josh Groban among others. Family theatrical productions have included Annie, Peter Pan, Sesame Street Live, Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, The Wiggles and more.
The legendary venues have played host to some of the most prestigious award shows in the country, including the Grammy Awards, MTV VMAs, Tony Awards, Daytime Emmy Awards, VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards, as well as the 39th Annual Country Music Awards, which marked the first and only time the show has appeared outside of Nashville. Three very important benefit concerts have also marked the history of both Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, including "From the Big Apple to the Big Easy" in 2005 in response to Hurricane Katrina; "The Concert For New York City" to celebrate the strength, resilience and pride of New York City and America in the wake of the September 11 tragedy; and George Harrison's 1971 Concert for Bangladesh, arguably the first major benefit live concert event of its kind.
